ATI-COM stands out at SMM Hamburg, a key event in the global maritime industry
The Tenerife Association of Ship Repair, Supply and Port Activities Companies (ATI-COM), which is part of Femete, is present at the 31st edition of the SMM Fair in Hamburg, which is being held from 3 to 6 September. This event brings together more than 2,000 exhibitors from 67 countries and attracts some 50,000 specialised visitors.
“This event is a global benchmark in the field of ship repair, presenting the latest innovations and trends. The main players in the maritime sector participate, such as shipowners, shipping companies, shipyards, suppliers of maritime equipment and technology, auxiliary industries and the offshore wind energy sector. Our participation here is key, as it allows us to showcase the quality and experience of our companies and professionals, positioning the Canary Islands as a logistics hub with the capacity to handle major ship repairs and offer services adapted to the maritime industry. With the aim of generating new business opportunities for the archipelago, we have already held meetings with international representatives at our stand, shared with the Canary Islands delegation, which includes Proexca, the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Fedeport and the Canary Islands Maritime Cluster,” explains Nicolás Quintana, president of ATI-COM.
“ATI-COM is made up of 29 companies and 688 professionals, covering the entire value chain required to manage large-scale naval and port projects on the islands. We offer specialised services to guarantee optimum performance under any circumstances, complying with the demanding European protocols in terms of processes and safety,” adds Quintana.
